All atwitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general, along with a smattering of other things.

@john_keim WSH currently has a VP of Player Personnel who some say is basically also the GM, as if that’s some great set-up. Let’s be real: Rivera is the GM. Can he handle it for one offseason? Sure, maybe, but let’s not kid ourselves. This is NOT how normal NFL orgs function.
— JR (@j_row14) February 6, 2020
@john_keim I don’t think what they have in place now is sustainable after the Draft.
— JR (@j_row14) February 6, 2020
I totally agree with your suggestion that they’ll eventually add a GM, sometime between the draft and camp, to completely handle that side of the house so Ron can focus on coaching.
From NFL Now: #Redskins coach Ron Rivera's offseason plan begins on Feb. 10, but this much is clear -- LT Trent Williams is firmly in the team's plans and they are not intent on trading him like the previous regime was. But they need to get through the process to be sure. pic.twitter.com/E15yYZlszL
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) February 6, 2020
FWIW: There has still been no contact between the Redskins and Trent Williams, per source. He is under contract so there's no rush just yet. There's time to talk and see if the new regime can change his previous desire to leave. If not, can see about trading before the draft.

Joe Gibbs thinks the respect Ron Rivera has with players could help him convince Trent Williams to return https://t.co/d3T4O7JoV3

I’ve been kinda putting together offseason plans for the Skins. I think Bradberry fits really well in a specific plan, just depends on the schemes the defense intends to use

The TE market has underperformed in recent years. There really hasn’t been a pace setter because Gronk did an extension early in his career and kept making short-term, incentive-laden tweaks to it. That’s about to change, as Tom notes here. https://t.co/8GmS8Qs0mU

Player representatives and the NFLPA executive committee will meet today in Los Angeles to discuss the owners’ current CBA proposal, a 10-year deal that would raise the players’ share of league revenue from 47 percent to 48.5 percent.https://t.co/NlXmbX60ej
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 6, 2020
The NFL has not imposed a deadline on the NFLPA for ratifying the proposed CBA, source said. Still, both sides know that for some provisions of the deal to take effect for the 2020 season, as is possible, the CBA would have to be approved by around mid-March. No deadline needed.

The #Phillies will miss the playoffs again in 2020. They're the second worst team in their division and massively overpaying their third best player (Harper). Last year was not a bad season, they're just a bad team. The reality of this will sink in for their fans by July. Watch.
