Dwayne Haskins Jr. put the team and his coaches in a difficult situation when photos showed up on social media showing him partying mask-less at a strip club following Sunday's loss. This was a clear and blatant violation of the team's, and the NFL's, COVID-19 rules.

This was also Haskins’ 2nd violation. Head Coach Ron Rivera just completed a very public treatment schedule for cancer which makes him high risk. Washington is also not sure if their starting QB Alex Smith can return from a calf strain this week. The team has limited options if Smith can't play this week and Haskins isn't available due to a suspension. Taylor Heinicke was signed from the practice squad last week and Steven Montez was also elevated from the practice squad to be available vs the Seahawks.

We got an answer for one of the questions as we get live updates from this afternoon's practice. Dwayne Haskins Jr. is at practice and taking 1st team reps. Alex Smith is also there, but has not been partipating in drills. The team is reportedly more optimistic about Smith playing this week, but for now, Haskins is QB1.

The team told reporters that Washington and the NFL worked out a deal that would allow Haskins to practice. He will be limited to participating in Zoom team meetings this week. The team can fine Haskins 1 week's pay and suspend him up to 4 weeks for this violation. For now it looks like he will only be getting fined, but we will have to wait for Ron Rivera's presser after practice to get some more information.
