Washington now sits alone as leaders of the NFC East.
— Ryan Fowler (@FowlerRyan1) December 14, 2020
This was the franchises first road win without an offensive TD since October 25, 1992 @ Minnesota.

Chase Young's mom was on the phone when he sat down at the presser. So, yeah, we talked to her.
— John Keim (@john_keim) December 14, 2020
On the TD she said: "I was so worn out. I was in shock. I said, 'He knows how to pick that ball up and not fall on it. He got it and kept trucking."

— John Keim (@john_keim) December 14, 2020
When asked if the return of the all-white uniforms was his doing, #WashingtonFootball Team President @whoisjwright tells me that the final call belongs to @RiverboatRonHC.
— Chad Ryan (@ChadwikoRCC) December 13, 2020
As President, he works with the NFL to get approval.
So, it's a joint effort.
Love it!
Alex Smith the last one off the field for Washington after chatting up most of the 49ers.
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) December 14, 2020
He's walking fine but there is a difference between walking and playing professional football.
Smith's leg bones and muscles were severely damaged due to the infections, leaving him more susceptible to injuries such as a calf strain. Even if it's mild it could sideline him for multiple weeks as he needs to be strong enough to play. That's tougher for him than other QBs.
— Inside Injuries (@InsideInjuries) December 14, 2020
Washington is now 10-5 when Alex Smith starts. There's just something about him. He just finds ways.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) December 14, 2020
That's how this works right?
At think Reaves at FS is Washington’s best option with Curl at SS. I like the young duo better than any other tandem back there.
— Lake Lewis Jr (@LakeLewis) December 14, 2020
Team pulls out the W, but it’s a another sloppy win. Defense is an elite unit, it’s how they’re winning games. Offense is maybe the worst in the NFL behind the Jets, hopefully Gibson can get healthy. QB play has been just terrible
— Matt Valdovinos (@MVScouting) December 14, 2020
There’s one goal this off-season. Upgrade QB.
Big, big win. Niners banged up; had to still work hard and showed why this defense can be really good for a while. Mindset matters. This team believes in itself and is playing with confidence. Don't look now, but maybe a team wins the NFC East with a winning record
— John Keim (@john_keim) December 14, 2020
Washington's offense just took a delay of game after a turnover on downs to start a drive.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) December 14, 2020
The camera panned over to Chase Young asking someone "what was that?"

Washington has allowed just 37 points in the second half of their last 8 games. That's 4.625 points per second half. Unreal.

Best second half defense in the league
— Kelvin Harmon (@_HarmonK) December 14, 2020
What a play by the gunner for SF to bang the WFT blocker into Sims vision. He made the right move by moving if he thought he was gonna drop it. Better risk than a fumble, but it’s a non-issue if the gunner just gives up.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) December 14, 2020
The double toss downing was pretty slick, too.
Tress Way punts the ball... and makes the tackle after a 10-yard return.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) December 14, 2020
Dwayne Haskins on being thrown in there: "I really had no idea what was going on. They told me to be ready. ... I was more so excited than anything and was grateful we got a win."
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) December 14, 2020
That's a disaster. Even after the benching Haskins still misses high
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) December 14, 2020
People/players all grow in different ways at different rates. This has been a challenging year for Haskins. If he attacks it the right way, and continues to do so, then can help himself. He's 23; he'll get a lot more chances. https://t.co/wetIMbDFlP
— John Keim (@john_keim) December 14, 2020
I saw what everyone else saw. Not going to make excuses for him. If he has to continue, he'd have to play better for this team to keep winning. But also recognize it was his first action in a long time.

Rivera said Alex Smith had tightness in his calf. Could never get it loose. Would have gone back in if something had happened to Haskins. No word for next Sunday.
— John Keim (@john_keim) December 14, 2020
Washington QB Alex Smith was diagnosed with a calf strain that seems somewhat mild. They’ll check him out in the morning, but X-Rays were negative.

Ron Rivera, especially with everything he has dealt with personally this season, has to be a finalist for COY, right?

Last week Washington won with Terry McLaurin catching two passes for barely over 20 yards. This week they won with their two QB's completing 15 passes for 108 yards.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) December 14, 2020
Something is afoot and I think it's great defense.
Win the division and trade the first for Stafford
— Matt Valdovinos (@MVScouting) December 14, 2020
I will say this - Our defense is READY to compete for a title NOW(couldn't say the same 6 weeks ago).
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) December 14, 2020
Because of this I may HEAVILY consider trading for a veteran QB in the offseason. A QB, two playmakers on offense(TE & WR), and a OT...and we just may be right on the doorstep
Have you not watched us try and fail to do this for 20 years? https://t.co/zxiaQpfVDz

Doug Pederson is talking about Jalen Hurts in this postgame press conference like Hurts was the opposing quarterback, not the #Eagles' quarterback. Odd.
