The Washington Football Team will reportedly activate WR Steven Sims Jr. from injured reserve today. Sims was placed on IR on October 9th with a toe injury that he suffered in week 2. He returned to practice this week and was unofficially a full participant every day. Sims looked ready to return to the field, and it seemed like a lock that he would be activated.

Phillips, 25, has spent time in Dallas and Las Vegas/Oakland. He played four games for the Raiders last season and had four tackles. He's from south of Houston and attended Oklahoma State.
Washington also protected 4 players from the practice squad. Jeff Badet was one of the players protected, and he was also elevated. Washington only chose to elevate one player this week, the maximum is two.
