UPDATE: Officially official and Ross Pierschbacher will also be elevated from the practice squad

UPDATE: Nate Orchard will be waived to make room on the 53-man roster for Steven Sims Jr.

The Washington Football Team will reportedly activate WR Steven Sims Jr. from injured reserve today. Sims was placed on IR on October 9th with a toe injury that he suffered in week 2. He returned to practice this week and was unofficially a full participant every day. Sims looked ready to return to the field, and it seemed like a lock that he would be activated.

Washington has been scrambling at wide receiver over the last month. Terry McLaurin has been the only steady presence, and they have been bringing up practice squad players to fill the position. Undrafted rookie Isaiah Wright missed the last game, but looks like he will also be available tomorrow vs the Giants. Wright took over the slot role for Sims while he was out. Dontrelle Inman is doubtful this week, so that will cause more changes in the lineup.

Washington will also have practice squad WR Jeff Badet available this week. He was elevated from the practice squad, the second (and final) time he can be added without getting signed.

In other roster news this week, Washington signed LB Justin Phillips to the practice squad.

Washington also protected 4 players from the practice squad. Jeff Badet was one of the players protected, and he was also elevated. Washington only chose to elevate one player this week, the maximum is two.
