The Washington Football Team has finally placed LT Geron Christian Sr. on injured reserve. He has missed the last 3 games with a knee injury, and hasn't been practicing fully during that time. Christian will need to spend at least 3 weeks on IR before he is eligible to return under this year's special COVID-19 rules.

Cornelius Lucas has been starting at LT for the last 3 weeks while Christian was injured. He has played better than expected, but he injured his ankle on Sunday, and didn't practice yesterday. Morgan Moses slid over to left tackle during the game, and David Sharpe came in to play RT. Ron Rivera was asked about Moses starting at LT, and he said it was a possibility, but would depend on the injury status of other players. Offensive Coordinator Scott Turner said he has confidence in Moses playing the position if needed. The bigger concern is David Sharpe at RT, or whoever the team can find to play that spot.
The team now has two open spots on the 53-man roster after Christian and QB Kyle Allen were placed on IR. Neither designation had a corresponding move with it, so now we wait to see who will be signed to fill the openings. They did protect 4 players the practice squad this week, and could add two of them to the main roster easily.

Washington also announced another minor roster move today. Former Maryland RB Javon Leake has been signed to the practice squad. This move was expected after Leake's visit with the team. He was in the COVID-19 testing protocol, and now joins the team
