The Washington Football Team made a lot of roster moves on Saturday to deal with the mounting list of injuries that have happened recently. Rookie OT Saahdiq Charles reportedly dislocated his kneecap on his 2nd play in the NFL after finally getting on the field(and getting the start at LG). Charles has dealt with different leg injuries for months that have kept him off the field. The original injury report had an optimistic hope of getting Charles back after next week’s bye, but that won’t be happening now that he has been placed on IR. He will be eligible to return in Week 11 when Washington hosts the Cincinnati Bengals.
WR Antonio Gandy-Golden was Washington’s other 4th round pick in this year’s draft, and he has also been placed on IR. Gandy-Golden was also injured against the Giants last week, leaving the game with a hamstring injury. Ron Rivera let it slip in his presser that the rookie WR would miss a few weeks due to the injury, and he will also be eligible to return in Week 11.
Washington has a WR problem and they made some moves to try to fill those holes. Steven Sims is already on IR, and now Gandy-Golden is on the shelf. Isaiah Wright was also ruled out this week due to a shoulder injury he suffered last week. Washington signed WR Tony Brown from the practice squad on Saturday. They also elevated two practice squad players(WR Jeff Badet and DT Devaroe Lawrence). TE Marcus Baugh, who was released this week, has has been added to the practice squad.
Washington’s WR group this week will now be Terry McLaurin, Dontrelle Inman, Cam Sims, Tony Brown, and Jeff Badet. The Dallas Cowboys defense has been pretty bad this year, are they bad enough to allow this group to have a breakout game?
