Brandon Scherff has been on IR for the last 3 weeks with a moderate MCL sprain he suffered against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, He returned to practice on Wednesday, which activated a 21 day for the team to make a decision on activating him. Scherff has been a full participant in practice this week, and the team just made it official, Scherff has been activated from IR, and is available to play on Sunday. Washington visits the New York Giants for their second NFC East of the season this weekend.
Washington’s offensive line will look a lot different this week. Scherff returns to the lineup at RG pushing Wes Schweitzer back to his backup role. Ron Rivera talked about having 4th round rookie OT Saahdiq Charles practice at guard this week. He said the move was made out of need. This morning it was reported that Charles will get the start at left guard on Sunday, replacing a struggling Wes Martin. Both of the “new” guards will be protecting Kyle Allen who is set to make his second start in a row.

The Washington Football Team needed to make a corresponding roster move to activate Scherff from IR. That move was placing CB Greg Stroman on IR with a foot injury. Stroman was injured two weeks ago on a punt return.
