Dwayne Haskins Jr. went from starting QB to 3rd string last Wednesday, and his future in Washington immediately shortened. Speculation that he would be traded started right away, but Head Coach Ron Rivera kept Haskins in there plans while touting new starter Kyle Allen. There were some rumors yesterday that some teams had shown interest in trading for Haskins before the November 3rd NFL trade deadline.
ESPN’s John Keim is here to throw some cold water on the Dwayne Haskins trade rumors. Last night Keim reported that no team has called Washington about Haskins yet. He also said that Haskins hasn’t requested a trade either. Both of these things could change, or have already happened and just aren’t known yet, but as of now there is no trades happening for last year’s 15th overall pick.
And my understanding is that he has not requested a trade.

The other part of this sad saga is Haskins sudden illness on Sunday when he was set to watch the Washington Football Team host the Los Angeles Rams from the sidelines in street clothes. Haskins reportedly was sent home from the team’s hotel after feeling sick for a few days. Julie Donaldson said he also attended team meetings the night before.
Dwayne Haskins Jr. stayed at the team hotel, was in team meetings last night. He’s been dealing with an illness for a few days. He was prepared to head to the game when the team doctor made the call for him to go home. Haskins was already inactive. #WashingtonFootball

Haskins mystery illness that started late last week is so bad that it is keeping him out of practice for Wednesday practice. Washington’s PR department continues to tell reporters that this is not COVID-19 related, but haven’t given many other updates.
Haskins underwent the usual COVID-19 testing at the team’s facility this morning and was sent home by team doctors.
