Kyle Allen got his first start with the Washington Football Team today. He ran in one touchdown, but they are still down 21-7 with two minutes left in the game. Allen ran again, but took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Jalen Ramsey that took him out of the game. Kyle Allen was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for an arm injury.

That leaves Washington with one healthy QB on the active roster and that is Alex Smith. He stepped on the field and completed his first pass in almost two years. Smith broke his leg against the Houston Texans in November 2018, and had multiple surgeries to repair the leg, and also to stave off the infections that threatened to take his leg, and his life. Smith’s recovery and return to the football field has been one of the most amazing things to happen this season. He is firmly in the discussion for comeback player of the year.
Alex Smith is back on the field for the first time since suffering a brutal compound leg fracture in November 2018.
