We’re still waiting on official word from the Redskins for most of these hires, but they have been confirmed by many sources, including some of the coaches themselves. Scott Turner takes over as offensive coordinator, and Kevin O’Connell will move on after one year in the role.
So who else is Rivera/Turner bringing to the party? Sounds like almost everyone got an invite along with a few new faces. We had already heard that WRs Coach Jim Hostler and OL Coach John Masko were coming. This was reportedly one of the reasons O'Connell wanted to explore other options, not having full control over the assistants hired to his staff. Ken Zampese interviewed this week and will be taking over as QB cosch.
Ron Rivera is taking almost all of the Panthers' offensive staff with him to Washington.

One notable exception: RBs coach Jake Peetz. The Panthers blocked a request from the Redskins to interview Peetz, the position coach for first-team All-Pro RB Christian McCaffrey. https://t.co/ek2e2cER7C
Albert Breer also reported that TEs Coach Pete Hoener will be joining the coaching staff. He held the same position with the Panthers from 2011-2019. One coach the Panthers aren't letting the Redskins get is RBs Coach Jake Peetz. He will get a chance to stick on new Head Coach Matt Rhule's staff. Randy Jordan was reportedly interviewed to keep the job, but it looks like they are interested in interviewing other candidates.
A few names have also reportedly been added that weren't on the Panthers last year. Jack Del Rio's son Luke says he is joining the team as an offensive quality control assistant. Brent Veiselmeyer is also joining in an unknown role. He coached LBs and safeties for the Raiders when Del Rio was the head coach. Sam Mills III was reportedly interviewing for the same job with the Redskins and he is joining his former boss in Washington too.
Couldn’t be more excited to be joining the @Redskins staff. Thank you @SMCHSEagles for a great year! #HTTR
