The 2019 season officially kicked off with a Packers win over the Bears last night in Chicago. That division game was also a preview for two teams on the Redskins schedule this year.
The NFC East battles it out early this week with the Cowboys facing the Giants, and the Redskins traveling to Philly to play the Eagles. Washington has been major underdogs in the game since lines opened, and they are now 10 point dogs.
Washington's offense is new, inexperienced, and returning from multiple injuries. They did not look good in preseason during their limited time, and will likely need a lot of time to gel. Derrius Guice is slated to start with journeyman Case Keenum at QB.
If they want a shot at a win this week, they have to depend on their defense to create pressure and force turnovers. The run game will also have to get moving early. The Redskins receivers have a lot to prove this year.
