The Redskins lost again and drop to 0-4 for the season and 0-3 in the division. The season is essentially over. Gruden used the injury excuse for pulling Case Keenum for Dwayne Haskins Jr., saying it looked like his foot was bothering him. He would not commit to a starting QB for next week’s home game against the Patriots.

Jay Gruden: "Case has a pretty good injury on his foot ... today in the game, he missed some throws he normally would make, and thought Dwayne might give us a spark ... In the second half, we were pretty much inept in all phases."— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) September 29, 2019

He says he went to Haskins because Keenum’s performance was not good. It might’ve been related to his foot. Regardless, Jay thought Dwayne could give them a spark. Doesn’t mean anything for next week.
