The Daily Twitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general, along with a smattering of other things.

Linebacker Noah Spence is on the field going through drills. The Redskins placed Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie on IR To make room. He hurt his leg vs Dallas.
— John Keim (@john_keim) September 18, 2019
No idea if #Redskins’ medical staff/process is truly bad or has been unfairly besmirched. What I do know is that #Skins in each of 1st 2 games have had a player get hurt in 1st Q, sent that player back into the game & then ended up putting that player on IR. 1st Guice, now DRC.

Redskins on IR: Jordan Brailford, Caleb Brantley, Casey Dunn, Reuben Foster, Derrius Guice, Myles Humphrey, Greg Stroman, Shaun Wilson, Josh Woodrum and DRC.

I dont even wanna hear Redskins. Medical staff bs. If you haven't been paying attention dudes are dropping like flies all across the fucking league
— STRETCH (@PAYNE_21) September 18, 2019
Some context for Skins fans. A quick glance at IR #’s for 2019 so far - Seattle, Jags, Texans, Broncos, and Falcons all have sent 10 to IR so far. Oakland, Giants, Pats have sent 9. Indy, KC, Dallas 8. We are not alone folks.

"I'm never going to get used to losing. I don’t like it," McLaurin said in front of his locker at Redskins Park on Monday afternoon. "But instead of pointing the finger . I just have to look at myself and see what I can do better in making Case’s [Keenum's] job easier." #Redskins
— Disco (@discoque5) September 18, 2019
Have to remember that Keenum is still new to the O and all that entails. Has done some good; left stuff out there. He’s not the reason they’re 0-2. Has been more careful with the ball. Has no run game. Just reality. Can’t be in spot where Keenum has to be close to perfect.

— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 18, 2019
Asked McLaurin Monday what Dallas did different vs. him than the Eagles. Assumption was, Cowboys took him away. Reality is, could have had same big game. Plays were there..
— John Keim (@john_keim) September 18, 2019
Yes he needs to improve his QB getting him the ball when open.
— Kareem (@Kareem26801462) September 18, 2019
I have to question the knowledge of those who think Keenum is the problem. In 2 games he has like over 600 passing yards, 5 touchdowns and no interceptions. Like do you remember Kirk Cousins for fucks sake?
— Hilary (@HilareeBanks) September 18, 2019
#Redskins QB Case Keenum has played well overall, but he missed some key plays against the #Cowboys.
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 18, 2019
-Shot on first play
-Mesh take off to Richardson
-4th down pass to Thompson
I took a closer look at those missed opportunities for @TheAthleticDC: https://t.co/qSK840WEbg pic.twitter.com/gpuMj8vxAJ
Walk-in touchdown if Keenum tosses it to P Rich here. Clean pocket. Thanks to the great @MarkBullockNFL for his fantastic breakdowns. pic.twitter.com/LlY2Fyrpfu
— Hogs Haven (@HogsHaven) September 18, 2019
Guess who is right behind him...Cole Holcomb(the Redskins 5th round rookie), who has the same number of solo tackles(10) and 15 total in 2 games plus 3 STF's https://t.co/ocekDt77jU
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) September 18, 2019
Another excellent game from Brandon Scherff in week 2. Consistently beat LVE/Jaylon to the spot at the 2nd level & did his thing in the run game. Elite football player. pic.twitter.com/tctpLeqHNd

— George Carmi (@Gcarmi21) September 19, 2019
-Vs. Philly, Redskins tried complex disguise coverages to confuse Wentz -- which led to blown coverages and huge plays (bombs to DJax)
— Hogs Haven (@HogsHaven) September 18, 2019
-Vs Dallas, Redskins reverted to simple defenses and got carved up by Dak & Co.
In both cases, pass rush has been slow & anemic -- BIG problem
Offensive snap count observations:
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) September 18, 2019
-McLaurin doesn't come off the field. Played 90% of snaps.
-Richardson targeted just 3 times on 54 snaps. Not ideal.
-Thompson out-snapped Peterson 28 to 18 at RB.
-Harmon only saw field for 6 plays. No targets.
Also, Ryan Kerrigan only playing on 50 of 70 snaps seems odd to me. I know he's not going to play 100% of snaps (he did for many years to begin career) but that seems like a lot of sideline time for your best pass rusher. If by design that design needs to change.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) September 18, 2019
McKinzy needs more than 11 snaps, in my opinion. https://t.co/rEqMGj1egs
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 18, 2019
DaRon Payne was outstanding Sunday. He wore down some as the game went on but that's going to happen when you play 64 of the #Redskins' 70 defensive snaps on line. That's impressive.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) September 18, 2019

Redskins with 7 CB. If there's good injury news with Moreau/ or Dunbar, I'd wonder about DRC's spot with Colvin's arrival and intrigue with Thomas's athletic traits.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) September 18, 2019
Also 6 DL, but all needed if Allen isn't ready.
Again, let's see about any injuries elsewhere. Spence an OLB...
Bears O could be just the prescription #Redskins D needs to cure ills. In 2 games, Chicago’s offense ranks 30th in ppg (9.5), 30th in ypg (263.5), 28th in passing ypg (164.0), and 18th in rushing ypg (99.5)
— Lake Lewis Jr (@LakeLewis) September 18, 2019
Skins defense ranks 31st in pts allowed (31.5), and 30th in ypg (455.0)

#Redskins have reached out to the #Jaguars in attempt to trade for CB Jalen Ramsey, per sources
— Jakob Vaughan (@JVaughanSports) September 17, 2019
With the #Jaguars playing the #Titans tomorrow night, a trade of Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey prior to the game is unlikely. Friday is the most likely target date, sources say.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 18, 2019
This could be a strange week for the All-Pro cornerback. He is slated to play in the #Jaguars' Thursday game, but the trade target date may loom a day later https://t.co/GM7vP3m9yF

Watching Patrick Mahomes throw a dime under pressure and off his back foot for a 73-yard TD in a game he's ALREADY WINNING by three possessions is the most surefire way to feel absolutely hopeless about the future competitiveness of the AFC. pic.twitter.com/PzDENi4rPB
— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) September 18, 2019
Also I would like to remind you that a worse Ravens team took a just-as-loaded Chiefs team TO THE WIRE in Arrowhead last season, and that was before Lamar flipped his switch.
— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) September 18, 2019
It's not a trap game, but taking KC -6.5 is the trappiest trap bet ever.
Anyway we can get Chiefs-Ravens flexed to Sunday night over Rams-Browns?

.@giants made a change at QB? We all watch the same tape. This is part of what I watched this week. The new QB played 3 years @DukeFOOTBALL with 1 drafted player and won 2 bowl games. — Brian Baldinger (@BaldyNFL) September 18, 2019
Say what you want about the 2018 QBs and Barkley, but Gettleman’s reasoning for not drafting one of them was that the Giants should build around Manning.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) September 18, 2019
Since, the Giants benched Eli after just 5 more wins. Gettleman’s evaluation of what Eli had left in the tank was awful.
When you just say something very debatable, that is probably inaccurate to begin with, and pretend like it cannot be debated. https://t.co/gCskoPmiGX

Tobin Rote was the QB for two teams that won the title and both teams scored over 50 points in the title game.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) September 18, 2019
Rote also had one year as a first-team All-Pro and another year where he led the league in yards and TDs.
Rote, who didn't play in New York, has never sniffed the HOF.
Since entering the NFL in 2004, the rest of the NFL has a better TD/INT ratio, and averaged more passing yards per attempt, than Eli Manning.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) September 18, 2019
Manning would have the worst era-adjusted TD/INT ratio and worst Y/A average of any pure QB in the Hall of Fame https://t.co/HkXlsOs3B4
