Please read. Actually explains what procedure was done and why. Silver lining: "this break is probably good for Guice and could get him a chance to be healthy in the second half of the season." https://t.co/PYL6rIY2FX

We've been waiting on an update on Redskins RB Derrius Guice' knee injury, and we finally got one this morning. He is in Florida today to meet with Dr. James Andrews to get a 2nd opinion on his torn meniscus. Dr. Andrews did the ACL repair surgery on his other knee last year.
Initial reports said Guice might attempt to us stem cell therapy to avoid surgery. If surgery is required, Guice could be out 4-8 weeks, not good for someone who already missed their entire rookie season due to another knee injury.
Washington RB Derrius Guice is in Florida today to meet with Dr. James Andrews and get a second opinion on his torn meniscus, per sources. In the likely event that Guice decides to undego surgery, he would be expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks.

Guice got the start last week, and last season's Redskins Offensive Player of the Year Adrian Peterson was a healthy scratch. AD won't be on the sidelines this week, and is the team's #1 RB again while Guice is out.
