Things were looking up for the Redskins in Week 1 until DeSean Jackson in his return to the Philadelphia Eagles unleashed his arsenal of speed against his former, and once again current division rival. Even with Vernon Davis’ push to honor the passing of his grandfather, it seemed that late in Sunday’s match-up, the Redskins were no answer for the Philadelphia Eagles.
In this edition of Rile’d Up, Tiffany had the chance to discuss the unfortunate second half with producer and broadcaster Trevin A. Jones. Jones who started his career as an assistant studio director at Bad Boy Records, is currently the Sports Director and part-owner of Urban Media Today. Before his time with Urban Media Today, he served as a producer and sports anchor for Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation and American Urban Radio Networks. For the past five years, Jones has been the play-by-play analyst for Howard University football and basketball on Sirius XM HBCU 142.
Jones provided a play-by-play view of the Redskins’ coaching staff, being outperformed by their counterparts at the Eagles.
While there were flashes of success in Sunday’s game, Jones has some insights on what the Redskins need to do to regain their footing in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.
