The Redskins claimed former Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood, making him the 6th RB on the team. Shaun Wilson is only on the roster until he can be placed on injured reserve. Byron Marshall was the #4 RB, and now he has been released to make room for Smallwood. Marshall has always been a bottom of the roster RB who has been kept around as a backup, and a returner. The Redskins now have 5 RBs on the roster, and will be down to 4 very soon.
The Redskins have cut RB Byron Marshall, per source. Became expendable after Redskins claimed RB Wendell Smallwood.
