The Redskins have been trying to trade Josh Doctson for 3 years straight, and were never able to get enough interest to get a deal done. They finally cut the cord yesterday, and went with youth and inexperience over the 4th year veteran. Players have been getting claimed since 12pm today, but Doctson did not get any interest for him or his 1st round contract. Now Doctson becomes a free agent, and tries to revive his disappointing career with another team.
Among the players not claimed off waivers: former first-round draft picks WR Laquon Treadwell, WR Josh Doctson, QB Paxton Lynch and G Josh Garnett, as well as CB Teez Tabor, RB Josh Adams, WR Keelan Doss and OLB Jachai Polite. They are all now free agents.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) September 1, 2019
