The waiver news keeps rolling in. The Redskins were just awarded former Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood on waivers. Samaje Perine was the odd man out in the Redskins RB group, and now he will join the Bengals roster after they claimed him today. Perine spent his first 2 years with the Redskins, but couldn’t break out or even become a solid backup. The former 2017 4th round pick ends his career in Washington with 183 carries for 635 yards and 1 TD. He also had 21 receptions for 187 yards with 1 TD.
And how about this: With Washington playing at Philadelphia on Sunday, the Redskins claimed former Eagles' RB Wendell Smallwood on waivers, per source.
