Trent Williams did not report to the Redskins this summer...we all know that. There have been reports that teams have offered the Redskins draft picks in exchange for the Pro Bowl left tackle and that the Redskins have shot those offers down; maintaining they are not trading Trent Williams. Just how true are these reports? That part we don’t know, but what we have heard now is that Trent is finally cleared to play(for someone), after having multiples surgeries to treat a scar on his head that was the result of doctors having to remove a tumor this offseason.
In an recent interview with Sherree Burruss of NBC4, Redskins team president Bruce said he believes the seven time Pro Bowler will play football. You can listen below.

Jay Gruden obviously feels the same way. The head coach reiterated Monday that he still believes “very strongly” that Washington won’t trade Williams. This follows the same thought process he had in early August.

So, could Trent Williams be returning to the Redskins soon?
It’s clear the guy loves the game of football and loves to compete. What’s not clear is the reasoning behind his absence. But, Donald Penn did say in a recent interview “when” Trent comes back, not “if”. So did the offensive tackle just give us a peak into what actually might play out here?
