The preseason moves on to Week 4 and the Redskins host the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night. Washington will try to end the Ravens 3-0 run in the preseason, and get their record to a Jay Grudenesque .500.
The Redskins have named Case Keenum their starter for Week 1, and he will not be playing in the preseason finale. Rookie QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. enters the season as the backup, but he will get his first start against the Ravens. Jay Gruden said he will keep starters in on the offensive line so he doesn’t break his new toy at QB too early. The only other QB expected to play is future car salseman/realtor/CBD advocate Jalan McLendon.
Thursday night is the final chance for players to fight for the last few spots on the team ahead of Saturday’s 4pm deadline for teams to cut their rosters from 90 to 53 players. One of the big spots on the roster fighting it out for the final 6(7?) roster spots is at wide receiver. Can one of the young guns knock 4th year vet Josh Doctson off the roster?
This is also Wes Martin’s last chance to save the Redskins season by winning the LG position. GO WES!
