Week 3 of the preseason usually gives fans a heavy dose of starters. This year Jay Gruden decided to participate in the festivities and gave each starting unit the full half.
The defense showed more of what we already knew entering the game. The interior of the defensive line is going to dominate opposing teams and the back half will bend but won’t break too often. But there are a few guys that stood out on that side of the ball.
Offensively, the performance was rather quiet, though it was a welcome relief to see Derrius Guice take the field, and exit it of his own volition. A few missed opportunities, a trend that will hopefully stay in the preseason… But a few guys stuck out, which leads to an honest question about the team’s wide receiver situation.
Also, someone please give Trent Williams a call... please.
