This series will involve scouting - electronically - the 90 man rosters of the other 31 teams in the league for players who might get left behind at final cut downs, who could potentially provide value as the 52nd or 53rd man on the Redskins’ roster.

This edition takes a look at the AFC South, home of the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, and Tennessee Titans.

Houston Texans

Austin Exford (S) - A UDFA out of Appalachian State, Exford could provide SS support as well as special teams depth.

Kahale Warring (TE) - It’s almost unfathomable that a third round pick wouldn’t make the final roster, but the much heralded San Diego State product has been plagued by injuries this pre-season. Perhaps it’s also possible that Warring could be thrown in as a sweetener to any trade sending Trent to the Texans.

Tyron Johnson (WR) - This UDFA from Oklahoma State has gotten rave reviews in the pre-season, but might end up being available at cut time.

Indianapolis Colts

Chad Kelly (QB) - Kelly has bounced around the league a bit as a result of boneheaded legal troubles. This former Mr. Irrelevant appears to potentially be putting things back together in Indy.

Daurice Fountain (WR) - This 2018 5th round pick is at the edge of the Colts’ WR depth chart and could be worth keeping an eye on.

Obum Gwachem (DE) - Gwachem has played for the Saints and Jets, but finally seems to be putting things together this pre-season with the Colts. He’s a converted WR with apparently freakish athleticism.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Taven Bryan (DT) - This 2018 first round pick from Florida has bottomed out hard in Jacksonville. Nevertheless, his athletic tools are apparently incredible. If the Jags somehow do the unthinkable and cut ties with Bryan, he could make a very interesting project on the line.

Keelan Cole (WR) - A UDFA out of Kentucky Wesleyan picked up by Jacksonville in 2017, Cole has flashed some talent on special teams this pre-season and is likely to be at the edge of the Jags roster.

Tennessee Titans

Anthony Firkser (TE) - Firkser is a 2017 UDFA from Harvard. He’s on the bubble of the Titans’ TE group, and could potentially represent additional TE depth.

Austin Pasztor (OL) - Signed as a UDFA in 2012 by the Vikings, Pasztor has also had stints with the Jags, Browns, and Falcons. He would be nothing more than a depth signing.

Isaiah Mack (DL) - A UDFA out of UT-Chattanooga, Mack has made a positive impression during the pre-season with his motor.
