The Redskins have at least 3 teams pursuing a trade for disgruntled LT Trent Williams according to a JP Finlay report. One of those teams has been identified as the New England Patriots, and Finlay mentioned heavy interest coming from AFC teams. The Texans were mentioned as a potential land spot. Now We have a new report that the Dolphins are also inquiring about picking up a former 7-time Pro Bowl left tackle.
With the Dolphins in town for joint practices with the Bucs, it’s worth mentioning — a source tells me the Dolphins reached out about Trent Williams... https://t.co/Yk7Pa5PwIX

It’s looking inevitable that Williams will be traded, and it will likely happen between the final preseason game and the Week 1 game in Philadelphia against the Eagles. The Redskins are obviously denying their interest in moving Trent Williams. The more suitors the better for Washington. They signed Donal Penn as their backup plan if they couldn’t work it out with Trent. They will reportedly be looking for at least a 1st round pick in any type of trade.
