The Daily Twitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general, along with a smattering of other things.

INT for Norman on a deep ball. Underthrown but he high pointed it and came down with it.
Quinn’s understanding of route running nuance is incredible. Keeps DB’s guessing.
McLaurin shook Apke on a post corner so bad he turned him twice.

If it were a 2 man Skins QB competition it wouldn’t be ‘ideal’ but splitting reps 3 ways is a suspect approach. Hard enough to get 1 QB ready with limited snaps these days. And if the QB starter ultimately is Keenum or Haskins, they need every rep possible.
— BGObsession.com (@BGObsession) July 25, 2019
Since Gruden said this is a 3-QB race, let's note Haskins received a tick more reps than the other two early, but McCoy more with the 1s. @Matthew_Paras did the math.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) July 25, 2019
Quarterback Dwayne Haskins was third in the rotation behind Case Keenum and Colt McCoy. But Haskins did get to work with the first line at times. He looked like he knew where to go but his accuracy at times was inconsistent, especially on throws to the flat. However, Haskins...

Training Camp has begun. Special teams work ends and we’ve got the ol’ running plays on air.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) July 25, 2019
Vets get the first snaps. Case Keenum at QB. AP at RB. Haskins/CT with the second group. McCoy/Guice with the third.
This will all rotate constantly and means nothing.

.@Theismann7 has been 1000% correct on this from the start. Hopefully Bruce Allen & Dan Snyder are listening because Jay Gruden already knows this. Kudos to Joe for being bold & not afraid of any backlash. https://t.co/Oii1rgRdqL

Derrius Guice’s first run of training camp? Speeds through a huge hole, makes a nice cut back, jukes out Landon Collins and then puts on the afterburners. Biggest applause of the session so far #HTTR

— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Two early drops for Davis. Good news is he looks fast. I don’t even think he’s close to 100% yet but he looks fast.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) July 25, 2019
Starting Defense as it stands currently: Ioannidis and Allen at DE, Payne at NT. Ryan Anderson and Kerrigan at OLBs. Bostic and Hamilton ILB. Norman, Dunbar, Collins and Nicholson at DB.
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Guice just ran down sideline on a wheel route and fans asked him to sign stuff.
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Guice yells, "Yall want me to work or yall want me to sign!?"
They all say, "WORK!"
Then one guy yells, "THEN sign."
Guice laughed on way back to drill.
Also Terry McLaurin has been ripping and running past everyone so far. Even if the play doesn’t result in a catch, he has been very difficult for defenders to keep up with #HTTR
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) July 25, 2019
Moreland getting reps with 1s too. His ball hawking ability has already garnered attention.
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Standout day: TIght end Jordan Reed. He created separation, showed quickness. And he made a nice one-handed grab, lunging to his right. Last year at this time: he had just started running, coming off surgery. It took a while for him to gain any explosiveness.

Haskins. Looks downfield. Doesn't like it. Takes off left. Not quite as fast as the last rookie QB I came to see.
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Montez Sweat is massive. My God. He is so big. He is large. Shades of Julius Peppers.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) July 25, 2019
Montez Sweat is massive. But he was standing next to a player who lookes just as big so I was confused. It was #46 6'8 TE Donald Parham
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Roullier had shoulder surgery earlier this year, but cleared to start camp. https://t.co/oOsFWgRH6E

Here's a pic of Josh Harvey-Clemons for those asking. But Pic doesn't do him justice. Was 217 at the combine. They say he's around 245 now. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/ZKXx8B55i5
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
The 1-1s were interesting. Terry McLaurin turned Apke arouhd, Fake the post and back out. ... tight ends fared well vs Collins. Reed shook him on one and caused him to stumble. Reed at far different point than at this time a year ago
— John Keim (@john_keim) July 25, 2019
WRs now running routes with QBs. Trey Quinns routes are looking real smooth. #Redskins
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Can Sims with a big catch across the middle, and bounced off the would be tackle. One thing I’m interested in seeing, is with his large frame, whether he can leverage that to break a few tackles after the catch. He certainly has the build to do so when the pads come on #HTTR
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) July 25, 2019
He did have offseason surgery on it, so it would make sense. I asked Gruden yesterday how all of the offensive linemen who had offseason surgeries were, and he said, "Chase looks great." I'll know more tomorrow about if it's one, the other or both https://t.co/RMsKwKFfBv
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) July 25, 2019
Flowers said OL coach Bill Callahan has helped broaden his game by "taking different sets as opposed to just sitting back... Sometimes jump setting, sometimes kicking then jumping as opposed to always kicking back. I've done that most of my career and it hasn't been effective."
— John Keim (@john_keim) July 25, 2019
Flowers says that he heard amazing things from Jeremy Parnell about Bill Callahan -- who he played for in Dallas -- and that played a huge factor in his decision.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) July 25, 2019
One guy i liked watching today: C Ross Pierschbacher. He worked as the No. 2 C with Tony Bergstrom at 1 (and Roullier out). Pierschbacher showed a strong base; good feet; could anchor. No pads so not going crazy, but seemed to be a good opening day. And now I'll pay attention.

— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Guice - "Hell, just gives me an opportunity to win comeback player of the year."#Redskins
I'd be lying if I didn't think Derrius Guice doing 46 extra cuts per carry is to show off to the people who write reports on him that he says isn't true lol #Redskins
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) July 25, 2019
Dwayne Haskins started his final reply practice with a huge throw over the middle to Donald Parham, who them made some nice moves to get extra yards #HTTR
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) July 25, 2019
Y’all should hear the way the ball sounds going into Kelvin Harmon’s hands. He stops on a dime for an outside shoulder throw from Case Keenum, Adonis Alexander falls tackle him and Harmon was gone. Best throw so far today #HTTR
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) July 25, 2019
Paul Richardson went airborne trying to come up with the catch, and almost did before he let go of it hitting the turf. That’s a good sign for a guy who broke his clavicle multiple times last season and said he was favoring his good shoulder as the season went on #HTTR
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) July 25, 2019
Looks like Bostic is calling signals. SDH spent more time at Mo during the spring. Staying there for now.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) July 25, 2019
Other noticeable pairings: Bostic and Hamilton were the two inside linebackers with the starting defense. Montez Sweat was at OLB

The offensive line false starts, but Jay Gruden goes “that’s not on you, that’s on the quarterback.”
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) July 25, 2019
Haskins was under center for the play.
Rahming is quick. He's small so it makes sense but his footwork is nice.

I talked to Josh Norman about the bull jumping and asked him if he was scared. He said “no because what’s fear?” He then asked me if I would jump one for $50M and I told him hell I would try it for $5M. He said “see you have no fear it just takes some $ to hide it.” ♂️

It’s official. My sources tell me Ezekiel Elliott is not on the flight to LA. Again, he has until Friday am to show up at camp though. Players have chosen to fly on their own in the past #Cowboys #TrainingCamp
— Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) July 25, 2019
Assigning a seat on a flight to Ezekiel Elliott and just assuming that will prompt him to show up and sit in it is somehow the perfect encapsulation of Jason Garrett's coaching tenure.

The Nationals gained 2 games on the Braves in the best 41 game stretch in their history.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) July 25, 2019
In the last 27 hours? They gained 2.5.
In order for Adrian Peterson to go bankrupt after making $100 million in 12 years, he’d have to average spending over $25k a DAY for 12 straight years. And somehow not be spending that money on assets which retain value. That sounds impossible to do.
