First round pick Montez Sweat has finally signed his contract. He has been with the Redskins during all of their offseason workouts and has reportedly looked very good. He is now locked up for a 4 year deal with a 5th year option.
That leaves 3rd round pick WR Terry McLaurin to be signed. Third round picks are generally the last to sign their contracts due to a part of the new CBA that gives them a little room to negotiate their base salaries, which are not guaranteed. Geron Christian was the last player to sign in last year’s 8-man draft class.
