The Daily Twitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general, along with a smattering of other things.

Just an FYI: #Redskins safety Montae Nicholson and tight end Vernon Davis were both at OTAs today after missing yesterday. Still no AP or Jordan Reed.

Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster definitely has a torn ACL according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The team wanted Foster to see a specialist to be sure. Doctors also fear possible nerve damage but won't know until they operate. His knee is still swollen.
— Les Carpenter (@Lescarpenter) May 21, 2019
All the comments on my post about Reuben Foster saying “our trainers suck” “fire the training staff” etc. How are they supposed to prevent that type of injury from happening?
— Redskinstoday (@redskinstoday_) May 20, 2019
Was a jog thru. But you practice football by going 11-11. It’s how the game is played.
— John Keim (@john_keim) May 20, 2019
The fact that the @washingtonpost would allow something like that go to print is shameful. They owe Foster and the Redskins a public apology. If you believe in karma WP, better keep your head on a swivel because you’re running a major deficit. https://t.co/0hMHqkaCGV

If you suggest that Foster's injury is somehow the fault of anyone associated with the Redskins - you are going to get pummeled mercilessly. I will be leading the way. It sucks, but sometimes bad things happen despite all the best laid plans.

ICYMI: Here's a look at some of the potential free agents the #Redskins could target in the wake of Reuben Foster's injury, including two familiar faces https://t.co/HZgnBg8LoE

Although Foster will miss the season, and that is disappointing for Redskins fans, we will be okay. I'm telling you, SD Hamilton is ready to go (and was with the 1st team today, not R Foster) and Holcomb is a tackling machine and will do a great job. Stay the course! pic.twitter.com/TjlsIhNZO1

Watching Dwayne Haskins and Case Keenum, one quarterback definitely stands out https://t.co/Xk3nslmRCn

Quinn was phenomenal. Gruden has hyped him up a lot this offseason. Other folks I spoke to said he has the potential to fill in the hole Crowder left. He's a super savvy guy, and people I've spoke to added he's a huge student of film and the playbook. Looked in tune with both QBs https://t.co/xIf8WiQgSv
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) May 21, 2019
Sweat with his speed around the edge was a huge talking point. He moves so quickly up the field. Brailford was in the mix, as well. Quinn, Sims and Kidsy were exceptional over the middle and hauling in most everything their way. Moreland was very good. Haskins was superb https://t.co/N0FAG2mtpJ

Redskins DL Jonathan Allen on his first impressions of LB @_sweat9 on the edge: “I like him. I like him a lot. All I know is that he is big, tall, long, and he works. That’s all that matters." #HTTR pic.twitter.com/9QMN0bnibm

Jonathan Allen on S Landon Collins:
— JoeGlo (@JoeGlo1) May 21, 2019
"He is an alpha male. He is going to do it right and do it physical. I love the way he comes up and plays inside the box. He can reach across the field and make plays all over. He is an all-around safety and I am glad he is on our team." #HTTR pic.twitter.com/WLXyIsBIIw
Cole Holcomb had a 75.8 overall grade last year which was the 65th highest among all draft eligible LBs.
— PFF WAS Redskins (@PFF_Redskins) May 21, 2019
When in coverage, he allowed 0.48 yards per snap. That was 26th best in the draft class. https://t.co/Nc2ho0H1JT
#Redskins LB B.J. Blunt (@beedoe8_), who was a UDFA, had quite the year at @McNeeseFootball:
— PFF WAS Redskins (@PFF_Redskins) May 21, 2019
-91.7 overall grade, good for 2nd highest in the draft class.
-16.3% run stop percentage, also 2nd best.
-Allowed 0.32 yards per snap in coverage, 7th best. #HTTR

Related note: Nobody should be surprised Josh Norman wasn't here. That guy is not committed to being here. I know it's voluntary but my strong hunch is he wants them to whack him post 6/1, which I've said many times, they should. Some (if not all) coaches would be happy. #Skins https://t.co/8XUSQCHjH5

This is what I love about OTAs. O'Connell is working with Haskins after nearly every play. Teaching him all the little things. The beauty of it, Haskins is listening and he has improved in my eyes in just a week. Keep working together. Good things are coming! #HTTR pic.twitter.com/MGblOxeTSC

The #Redskins are remaining cautious, but CB Quinton Dunbar is running at "full speed," @Matthew_Paras writes. https://t.co/XVVSRVL53V

I get the McCoy release since they certainly need cap space but Im surprised they couldnt find a trade partner or a way to creatively make a trade work.

"Did we get closer to a championship? I don't believe so," Plaxico Burress says of the Giants drafting Jones. "I don't think that the Giants drafted the best quarterback available."

If NFL adjusts PI replay rule to make it coach challengable during last 2 mins, Hail Marys at end of game would be exempt, Rich McKay said. NFL will have to write definition of Hail Mary.

Vegas has the Browns slightly above average and that’s the first time that’s happened in a very long time. Even more remarkable is that Cleveland is projected to be just 1 point per game worse than Pittsburgh. https://t.co/YkVSlrrjwc
