Former Super Bowl winning Redskins QB Joe Theismann has goven his permission for new Redskins QB Dwayne Haskins to wear #7. The number has been on the unofficially retired list. Theismann is a fomer Pro Bowler, All-Pro, and NFL MVP. He is also on the 70 greatest Redskins lost and a member of the Ring of Fame. Haskins called, asked permission, and has the number he's worn since childhood.
Big #Redskins nugget: Joe Theismann says Dwayne Haskins has decided that he wants to wear No. 7. Theismann has given permission to the rookie QB to do so. Told us he just talked to him on the phone.

Joe Theismann just told us that he spoke to Dwayne Haskins and gave him the go ahead to wear the #7 jersey that has been 'protected' for more than 30 years.

Theismann is not a fan of what Haskins said after the draft though...
