Everyone thinks the Redskins are taking a QB this year, no matter what Bruce Allen says. Washington has been linked to every top QB in the draft, and now they are starting their official pre-draft visits with them. JP Finlay reports that Duke QB Daniel Jones will visit with the Redskins this week.
Washington met with QB Drew Lock today, and has spent the last week attending the Pro Days of Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, and West Virginia’s Will Grier. Daniel Jones is considered the #4 QB in this year’s draft, and the one they are most likely to be able to draft without a trade up. Jones range is much wider than the top 3, and he falls to the 2nd round in many mock drafts. The Redskins would have to believe Jones is the guy to draft him at 15, or reach for fear of missing out on a QB. Mel Kiper, Jr. projected Jones to the Redskins in his latest mock.
Redskins will host Duke QB Daniel Jones for official visit next week, per source.
