The draft rumors are heating up and they’re coming from all directions. Here are a few of the latest draft rumors involving the Redskins and their never ending search for THE guy at quarterback.
Dan loves Dwayne:
Redskins owner Dan Snyder attended one QB interview at the combine.
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) April 25, 2019
It was with Quarterback Dwayne Haskins per sources. The owner along with the Team President Bruce Allen are fixated on the Ohio State QB. Meanwhile the football side of the building, I’m told doesn’t agree.
No trade with the Jets?:
The Jets have had action over the last 24 hours on the third overall pick, and it now looks like it may not be the Redskins coming up to get it. The heat created by the link between the Raiders and Dwayne Haskins may just have been enough to smoke out a trade partner there.
Disagreement over #1 pick; QBs:
Here is the latest on the Redskins. This team is a perfect example of how difficult it can be to come to a consensus on a top draft pick. #nfldraft2019 pic.twitter.com/2z5EibL3a8

The Redskins are not only in disagreement about whether to go quarterback with their top pick but which quarterback to select. While we know by now that Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder are fixated on Dwayne Haskins, there is a case being pled for Duke QB Daniel Jones per sources

Top 5 #NFLDraft rumors from league sources late last night
— Rob Rang (@RobRang) April 25, 2019
1. #Cardinals like QW, take KM
2. #Raiders like Haskins
3. #Redskins trade up to 4 (ahead of #Giants) for Haskins
4. Montez Sweat could slip out of 1st. Did not in my mock.
5. DK Metcalf could too. Did in my mock.
"Bruce Allen being Bruce Allen":
I’m told Washington’s calls are “Bruce Allen being Bruce Allen,” making waves with no real desire to move. https://t.co/wMH7LrQNXa

J.P. Finlay's final draft thoughts:
- Kyler Murray will go first overall to Arizona.
- The Redskins will not trade up into the Top 3.
- The Redskins will not trade up into the Top 5.
- Drew Lock will be the next QB off the board.
- There could be a Laremy Tunsil type of situation.
- Either Miami or Cincinnati will take a quarterback.
- Boston College guard Chris Lindstrom goes in the top half of the draft.
- Montez Sweat could slide in this draft, and it might not just be about medicals.
- The injury issue will impact Rashan Gary.
- The Redskins will take a defensive player with the 15th pick.
- Nobody knows what the Giants will do, and they like that.
- Four QBs will get drafted in the first round.
- Five QBs might get taken in the first round.
- The Redskins will not take a wide receiver in the first round.
- Don’t close the door on Josh Rosen landing in the NFC East.

Would agree with this. https://t.co/IvOwIeJjH1

Redskins don't intend to trade up:
Been told my multiple sources the Redskins do not intend to trade up tomorrow night. That could change, obviously, but edge rusher still a major priority.

Dan Snyder has taken over the 1st round pick!:
Just talked to a Redskins source who told me Dan Snyder has "taken over the first round of the draft."
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) April 24, 2019
The last time that happened the Redskins traded two future No. 1's and a No. 2 to move up for Robert Griffin.
For what it's worth and in the interest of the Redskins' side of this...
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) April 24, 2019
On my previous tweet: I just talked to Redskins spokesman Tony Wyllie. He says any person saying Dan Snyder has taken over the team's first round decision making is "categorically false."
No Trade up:
You will hear the Redskins linked to just about every trade scenario between now and draft. Was told this a.m. they don’t feel they can afford to part w early picks. Also, they haven’t discussed Rosen.

But remember... it’s #lyingseason
Trade up?:
And another one...
.@MikeGarafolo reports @nflnetwork the Redskins have explored moving into the top-5.#UpToTheMinute

A Jets reporter for the Athletic stirred up some bad memories by reporting the Redskins have discussed trading up with the Jets at #3. Who would spend that much draft capital on? Dwayne Haskins? Kyler Murray? Daniel Jones?
I said since the Combine the Jets want to trade back and if something crazy happens, like Kyler slipping, Skins might get involved. No different now. https://t.co/5alG78hFrO
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) April 23, 2019
Daniel Jeremiah’s heard the Redskins are moving up for Haskins or Daniel Jones.
What I've heard in last 24 hours:
— Daniel Jeremiah (@MoveTheSticks) April 24, 2019
Redskins moving up for Haskins
Redskins moving up for Jones
Giants moving up for Lock
Giants taking Jones at 17
Titans taking Lock
Bengals taking Haskins
Bengals not taking QB
Lions trade back and take QB

Dwayne Haskins:
The Redskins have been linked to Dwayne Haskins a lot more in the last week, and we have another report that he will be Washington’s target in the 1st round.
Haskins has long been an object of affection by some here. Key will be what they’d have to give up to get him if trade up. They have been aggressive in the past when they want someone. https://t.co/BHi3KMFSKs

No Josh Rosen/Dan Snyder & Bruce Allen choosing QB:
ESPN’s Dianna Russini shoots down the Josh Rosen trade rumors. They are going for their own QB at #15. She also says the decision will be made by Redskins Team President Bruce Allen and Owner Dan Snyder.
Here is the latest on the Washington Redskins and what the plan is for the NFL Draft at pick 15 #nfldraft pic.twitter.com/0jYzhP5nda
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) April 24, 2019
As for the rumors about a Josh Rosen trade, I was told Washington does not have any plans to trade with the Cardinals per sources. It was also brought to attention that Arizona could keep Josh Rosen on the roster and trade him later in the summer if they go Murray.
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) April 24, 2019
It’s clear there are many in the Redskins organization on the coaching and scouting staff who do not want to take a QB in the first round. The decision isn’t up to them. So while leaks will continue, nothing is likely to change tomorrow unless someone can change the owners’s mind
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) April 24, 2019
Josh Rosen:
Still keeping hope alive for a Josh Rosen? Eric Galko throws you a lifeline and says he has heard the Redskins are still in play for the Cardinals QB.
Interesting. Common belief is that the #Redskins are the favorites for Josh Rosen. From what I've heard personally, I think all of the top-three here are very much in play: #Redskins, #Chargers and #Bengals. https://t.co/f4ozpqtfe0
