Parris Campbell vs Dwayne Haskins initial impression

Scott Jennings posted a highlight film of Ohio State wide receiver Parris Campbell. Thank you, Scott.

That highlight film completely changed my opinion of Dwayne Haskins, for the worse. There are so many screen passes that Campbell takes to the house that it makes me believe that Haskins' passing yardage and touchdown numbers are markedly inflated by the talent of someone like Campbell. For every long bomb that is thrown to Campbell, there seems to be three or four remarkable highlight bubble screens where he is off and running. It seems like every time Campbell makes one defender miss, he scores.

Campbell is pretty impressive in those film clips. Haskins is throwing five yard, or behind the line of scrimmage, screens. They pile up huge yards and count as touchdown passes but Haskins is on a virtual chaise lounge watching the play after he dumps the ball off.

As time goes on, it appears, from reading the latest draft speculation, that it is more likely that Murray, Lock, and Jones will be drafted before Haskins. Unfortunately, that would make Haskins available at #15.

I shudder to think about that.
