The Redskins will host former Giants/ Jaguars OT Ereck Flowers tonight for a free agent visit tonight. The Giants famously panic-picked Flowers in the 2015 draft at #9 after the Redskins took Brandon Scherff 5th overall. Scherff was reportedly their target and they made a massive reach by taking Flowers in the top 10.
Flowers has predictably been a massive bust in the NFL. The Giants moved him to right tackle and then moved him off the roster in the final year of his rookie contract. He signed with the Jaguars in October last year, and started 7 games for them.
The Redskins lost backup tackle Ty Nsekhe in free agency, and Geron Christian, their 3rd round pick last year, got little playing time before going to IR. They need depth, but good depth should also be a priority.
Former Jaguars’ and Giants’ OT Ereck Flowers is visiting the Redskins tonight, per source. Could rejoin former Giants’ teammate Landon Collins in Washington.

Also: they do have Christian as possible/likely swing tackle. But also could use a guy who can play T/G if needed.
