The Redskins are re-signing RB Adrian Peterson to a 2 year deal worth $8 million. AD was signed last year after 2nd round rookie Derrius Guice tore his ACL in the first preseason game. Peterson signed a 1 year vet minimum deal worth about $1 million. Now he comes back on a $4 million/year deal.
Peterson was one of the best stories to come out of the Redskins lost 2018 season. AD ran angry and proved a lot of doubters wrong. He rushed for 1,042 yards and 7 TDs, and also had 208 receiving yards and another TD through the air. He will turn 34 next week, but has said he has plenty left in the tank.
Derrius Guice plans to work out with Peterson this summer in Texas. The former LSU RB is still recovering from his ACL injury and the infections that slowed his recovery process. He is expected to be ready for training camp.
Getting AP back and having CT is huge for my development as a PRO in every aspect

Updating the reporting that is out there on the contract for Peterson:

It’s a 2 year, $8m deal but the second year is an option. Will be curious to see exactly how it’s structured but expect something that’s very easy to move on from after 1 year if the #Redskins want.
Derrius Guice was planning to work out with Peterson this offseason in Texas. Looks like they'll still be teammates. #Redskins
