The Redskins haven’t made any moves in free agency yet, but there are plenty of rumors swirling around. They are reportedly very interested in S Landon Collins and ILB C.J. Mosley. Washington is also shopping ILBs Zach Brown and Mason Foster. Mosley is expected to get a huge pay day and could be out of the Redskins price range. It’s also unlikely that the Redskins will be able to find a trade partner for either of their starting ILBs from last year, and they could just be released if no deal happens.
Brown's cap hit is 8.75; Skins save 5.75 if released/traded.. ...has a 7.25 mil cap hit for a new team if traded...also makes sense if trying to trade M. Foster (as @TomPelissero reported). again: hard deal. Stacy McGee makes sense too. last year tried to deal Docston; no takers

Another name has been added to the Redskins trade block. Defensive lineman Stacy McGee hasn’t worked out with the Redskins up to this point, and they have draft DL the last 3 years in a row. They’ve spent their last two 1st round picks on Jonathan Allen and DaRon Payne, and have a solid third in 5th round pick Matt Ioannidis. There are questions about whether the team can re-sign Ioannidis with the Alabama Wall also needing to get big contracts in the next few years.
Stacy McGee is not the future for the Redskins, and only started 1 game last year, appearing in 8. He had offseason groin surgery, and started the year on the PUP list. The Redskins save almost $2.3 million dollars if they cut or trade him. He is definitely on the chopping block.
The other interesting thing that John Keim noted, the Redskins tried to trade WR Josh Doctson last season, but they couldn’t find anyone to take him...
