The Daily Twitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general.
NFL News twitter feed:
Redskins twitter feed:
Mon: Kyler Murray declares intent to play in NFL; Browns sign RB Kareem Hunt.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 13, 2019
Tues: Antonio Brown bids farewell to Steelers; potential top 15 pick Jeffery Simmons announces he tore his ACL.
Weds: Ravens agree in principle to trade Joe Flacco to Denver.
Quiet time of the year.
I would argue that Ralph Northam, who is pro-stadium, is not in his finest bargaining position either.

And in DC, well, Jack Evans still has some explaining to do, too. https://t.co/j9ORpFDa2f

You can read this as: The DC deal is done and in the bag, and everybody else is suddenly "not interested" to save face, like at the end of every college football coaching search.
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser says RFK "is the most suitable site" for the Skins, but that they “would have to build [their] own stadium." https://t.co/J2Vuf3y2tm

Also I’ve long thought the new stadium lands at Nat’l Harbor. Door isn’t closed but it seems very close.

Over the last 3 CFB seasons, Alabama RB Josh Jacobs is 2nd among all college RBs in percentage of missed tackles forced adjusted for opponent (22%)

The only player ahead of him was former LSU RB Derrius Guice (@DhaSickest) at 23%.#NFLDraft
$7M is a great deal for a QB the quality of Keenum.

It's also too much for the #Redskins IMO, who also should have no interest in a stop gap.
It's draft or McCoy for 2019. I don't see why they should/would do anything else. https://t.co/TjdJCXud8t

One area the #Redskins need to improve is WR. Here is where the Redskins receivers rank in yards per route run (out of 108):
— PFF WAS Redskins (@PFF_Redskins) February 12, 2019
(54) J. Crowder: 1.46
(92) P. Richardson: 1.11
(94) M. Harris: 1.06
(96) J. Doctson: 1.04
Should they look to add through the draft or free-agency? #HTTR
I want to sit here and do mock drafts all day but it's irrelevant until we see what's going on with Preston Smith. You can't pass on Burns or Polite if Preston walks.

As I said last night, still find this hard to believe, but I’d be all over Rosen if the Cards want Murray. https://t.co/S8lARulP5E

John Elway spoke with Case Keenum this morning, per source. The acquisition of Flacco ends his time as a starter, but he has one year left and the Broncos can keep him as a backup or cut or trade him. Notable if they move on from him: He has $10M in dead money.
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) February 13, 2019
The Joe Flacco trade to the Broncos presents a couple of ripple effects for the Redskins.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) February 13, 2019
(1) There will be one less QB-needy team ahead of them on the draft board.
(2) Case Keenum likely becomes available. How cheap of a deal would he sign as a one-year option?
The #Broncos will now shop QB Case Keenum, who is guaranteed $7M in 2019, I’m told. If they can’t, it’s either a massive paycut or a straight up release. He’d be a top backup.

Flacco was 16th in passing DVOA last year in a half season. He was 26th or lower the previous three seasons. He's really expensive and the Broncos are also going to have to eat Case Keenum bonus money on their cap. So like most of NFL Twitter, I'm not a fan of the move. https://t.co/o5FMglQUw8

New Broncos HC Vic Fangio spent one season in Baltimore while Joe Flacco was Ravens’ QB and knows what he will be getting. Former Broncos’ exec Gary Kubiak also was a Flacco fan, and has mentioned how much he liked the soon-to-be Broncos’ quarterback. They were strong selling pts

Intresting to see how the altitude will effect Joe Flaccos abilty to underthrow deep bombs and draw the comeback pass interference penaltys

A return by @casekeenum to Minnesota is unlikely but not impossible -- if the Vikings could find a trade partner for their current starter https://t.co/i30kkJ6nyg

A first round pick is going to cost real money, but that's an investment in the future. To invest money into a stopgap would be a bad, bad misuse of resources. McCoy is that guy. He's getting you to next. "Next" hasn't played an NFL game yet unless it's a guy like Rosen.
