Bill Callahan spoke to the media after the Redskins lost their 12th game of the season. Dwayne Haskins and Morgan Moses both suffered ankle injuries and exited the game early. The Redskins lost in overtime, but Callahan was amazingly confident in his defense at the end of the game, and didn’t go for two for the win. The Redskins are now in the driver’s seat for the #2 pick in the 2020 draft, and will secure it with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys next week.

Callahan says losing close games is “unfortunate” but doesn’t agree that they are unlucky. Points to getting close, but not finishing as characteristic of a young football team that is learning and improving. Will help them in the future.

“Give the players in our league credit. They’re paid professionals...if you’re focused on something outside that realm, you’re in the wrong business.”
