A lot of people thought Dwayne Haskins Jr. would get his first start in Week 11 after the Redskins bye week. That opportunity came one game early due to Case Keenum’s concussion. Interim Head Coach Bill Callahan wouldn’t commit to a starting QB after Haskins debut, saying he needed to evaluate everything. He plans to name the starter on Monday when the Redskins start their prep for the Jets.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafalo says that the expectation is that Dwayne Haskins will continue to be the starter next week, and he will get his 2nd career start vs the Jets at home. Haskins was 15 for 22 for 144 yards with 0 TDs and 0 INTs. He also rushed 2 times for 14 yards, and was sacked 4 times. If this report is correct, the Redskins will look to continue Haskins develop on the field instead of watching from the sidelines.
Have heard same. Plus unclear if Keenum out of concussion protocol yet https://t.co/58eXQLruam

Redskins QBs have been told that Dwayne Haskins will start against the Jets on Sunday, and Case Keenum will be the backup. Colt McCoy remains No. 3. https://t.co/e5ZswwYK9i

Can also confirm Dwayne Haskins is expected to start vs. Jets, per source. Worked with the first team in a closed practice today. First reported by @MikeGarafolo. #Redskins

From last night: more detail on the #Redskins QB decision which might finally be the divide we assumed it was under Gruden, might be another case of bad Redskins communication or might be Callahan not wanting to commit publicly for reasons unknown. https://t.co/nckPkt3l65
