The Redskins drop to 1-9 after losing 34-17 to the Jets at home. This was Dwayne Haskins Jr.’s 2nd NFL start and his first one at home. Haskins got his first two NFL touchdowns today, the first one was also Derrius Guice’s first TD as a pro. Haskins ended the day 19-35 for 214 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. Guice was 7 for 24(3.4 ypc).

Jets TD - came on a basic spacing concept, but after Darnold broke the pocket and extended the play, the TE in the flat took off down the sideline and was uncovered for a TD #Redskins pic.twitter.com/0WGWjRQTJL

Great technique from Ryan Kerrigan here. Gets his inside hand under the inside armpit of the RT, then catches the outside hand with his own hand. RT has no way to regain leverage, Kerrigan runs him over and gets the strip sack #Redskins pic.twitter.com/nCoIpcfOEF

Gregg Williams won't make things easy for Dwayne Haskins & the #Redskins. 3rd & 6, shows double A gap, ends up only send 4, but rushes S Adams & the slot corner, with only two of the interior bunch coming. Nobody picks up the slot corner, Haskins eludes but Adams gets the sack pic.twitter.com/GZb1MpAFh7

2nd sack of the day for Ryan Kerrigan. Gets away with a slightly false start, but then gets his hands up and bats away the hands of the RT before dipping and ripping to turn the corner for the sack #Redskins pic.twitter.com/RrLU6FXOVD

#Redskins had issues against the Bills with runs cutting to the back side where they failed to secure the edge. Happened again here. pic.twitter.com/l76QzJt7Sq

Daron Payne is great at getting his hands up and batting passes down at the LOS. Did it again on third down to force a field goal attempt #Redskins pic.twitter.com/YRpDeJMc0U

Coverage bust on the Jets 2nd TD. Moreau follows the motion receiver to the flat as if he's in man coverage, Norman initially works inside with Anderson before peeling off to the flat, leaving Anderson open. Couldn't get back in time, TD. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/nagCGHZLK0

This one was called back, but a good glimpse of what Dwayne Haskins is capable. Play-action, steps up and out of the pocket to avoid pressure, fires a bomb down the field to Terry McLaurin #Redskins pic.twitter.com/TH3O02nw5u

Terrible decision/throw from Darnold, but Jon Bostic benefits and gets the INT on a busted screen pass. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/uswZEFqpjL

Big rookie mistake for Haskins on 3rd down. Tried to escape the sack by running backwards, but ended up losing a ton of yards. Fortunately for him, #Redskins were still in FG range and made the kick, but still can't happen. Throw it away pic.twitter.com/uNkXuoK1TF

Little speed option for Guice's first touch, 9 yards. Great to see him back #Redskins pic.twitter.com/8pwC1oT3hc
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
3rd and 5, Haskins working to his left initially. Looks to hit Quinn on the out but misses significantly. Tough throw to make, had Harmon on the flanker drive concept if he came back inside. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/7uEtgNji9F
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
No idea on the coverage from the replay angles, but the Jets TE had absolutely nobody around him on this play. WIDE OPEN pic.twitter.com/9kwJ4kUvYG
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
Sail concept for the Jets TD, Collins takes the RB in the flat, leaving the TE on the sail to Shaun Dion Hamilton. Hamilton doesn't stay with the TE and he's wide open for a TD. Collins looked angry to say the least #Redskins pic.twitter.com/XS8aqHGLFf

Great job by Haskins to step up on the pocket, avoiding the free rusher off the edge and delivering a strike to Kelvin Harmon for a first down #Redskins pic.twitter.com/jM0QTYKDOU

Tony Bergstrom in at TE as the 6th OL on play-action, but he gets beaten easily inside and Haskins is sacked before he gets a chance to throw #Redskins pic.twitter.com/UqfhuBE7A0

This is the Tress Way injury, appeared to get a helmet in the foot of his plant leg. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/Il9SSV5eA8

Guice just trucked a defender in the hole to turn this counter run into a 6 yard gain #Redskins pic.twitter.com/DFI8e3ziLD
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
Don't hate going for it on 4th down by the #Redskins. Why not at this stage? Haskins pass is batted down at the LOS, but not sure the receiver he was throwing to would have picked up the first down anyway pic.twitter.com/NSzMvapTFI
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
Just heard this and had to rewind to check it was real. Bill Callahan thinks the #Redskins have been "knocking on the door" the entire game. They're down 20-3 to a 2-win team and haven't looked remotely close to scoring. Unbelievable https://t.co/u9tx8MriZm
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
Haskins sacked on 3rd and 10. Jets overload #Redskins right side. RB motioned out of the backfield, Moses has to take the LB working with a more direct lane inside, leaving the edge rusher unblocked. pic.twitter.com/BTc7ocx6bg

Crowder TD came on a wheel route play they borrowed and adjusted from Crowder's time in Washington. Run a post and a spot route from the two outside receivers, Crowder runs his wheel behind it. Norman and Moreau attempt to pass it off, but Moreau is late to adjust #Redskins pic.twitter.com/s3wKzCj6HN

On the Haskins INT, Trey Quinn was at fault. Quinn sat down between the LBs, then moved again after Haskins had already released his throw. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/FVg43hZSzM

First NFL TD for both Haskins and Guice. Screen pass, Adams comes free but Haskins manages to buy time and find Guice. Guice secures the catch and turns the corner down the sideline, breaking one final tackle to score #Redskins pic.twitter.com/TjOpM5TlBm
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
Suddenly Haskins playing with some confidence. 2-point conversion. Pump fakes the unblocked defender to get him to jump, buys time to step up in the pocket and work to the back side, finds his TE to covert. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/JOI4OiFp0d
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 17, 2019
Haskins has been inconsistent, but his receivers haven't always helped him today. TE Jeremy Sprinkle wide open after pivoting back inside from a fake outside. Haskins hits him, Sprinkle looks to run before he catches it, drops the pass. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/3R57Dq1ilF

3rd and 2, Haskins has nobody open, steps up and scrambles, picking up the first down. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/9J0GBUVXnF

Fantastic job by Adams on the 2-pt attempt. Initially works to the flat to take away the back, Haskins works back inside to his TE, Adams adjusts back inside and breaks it up. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/cGTD0wpvwO
