Report: Case Keenum to get the start at QB for the Redskins

Case reopened

NFL: Washington Redskins at New York Giants Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Redskins fired Jay Gruden on Monday, which was not good news for QB Colt McCoy. Gruden has always been McCoy’s biggest supporter, which was...interesting. Now Bill Callahan is taking over as interim Head Coach, which means changes are coming to the team. He will reportedly put more of an emphasis on the running game which was never high on Gruden’s list.

He will also reportedly be going back to Case Keenum as the Redskins starting QB as long as his foot sprain is cleared this week. Callahan said on Monday that 1st round rookie QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. was not in consideration to start vs Miami, so at least Callahan is keeping something the same from Gruden’s plan.
