Monday morning the Washington Redskins fired head coach Jay Gruden in the midst of an 0-5 start to the season. While, the change at head coach lends itself to the hope of a fresh start, there’s no reason to believe the organization will get the next hire right. That is because, leadership at the top has failed the Redskins for the last decade.
Team president, Bruce Allen, met with reporters Monday afternoon. During his tenor as team president, Allen has a .429 winning percentage. He has also oversaw the mass exodus of business executives, the firing of Scott McCloughan, in addition to ZERO playoff wins during his tenure.
In this edition of The Counter Trey Podcast, we lament Allen’s time in charge, we discuss Dwayne Haskins, and where the Redskins go from here with their impending coaching change.
