At the very least, Monday October 7, 2019 will be remembered as a pivotal day for the Washington Redskins, however what comes next will certainly be the hard part as the team announced a little after 5 a.m. that they were parting ways with Jay Gruden.

A few hours later, Bruce Allen–who remarkably still has a job of his own–spoke with the media about the decision, the first time he had openly fielded questions from the media in roughly four years.

On this emergency episode of The Pig Pen Podcast, we have a rapid reaction to both the news of Gruden’s firing as well as all some of the idiotic things Allen said in his press conference. Plus, we do a little pondering on what, or in this case who, is next for the Redskins.
