Bruce Allen does not plan to trade LT Trent Williams. During his once every 5 years press conference, he said there has been no dialogue with any other team. Craig Hoffman is now reporting that Allen told Williams a few weeks ago that he was going to have to sit the year. The Redskins would then try to trade him in January.
Was told that a Redskins delegation visited Trent 12 days ago. Neither side has confirmed that, but it aligns with Craig's reporting here... https://t.co/CDQa6y8CS3

Dianna Russini is reporting(and Hoffman has confirmed) that Williams doesn’t have any plans of returning to the Redskins anytime soon. If Williams does plan on returning, it would likely be during the Redskins bye in Week 10. He would need to report by then to get credit for this season, and then would only have one more year left on his contract. If he doesn’t return by then, his contract will toll, and the Redskins control his rights for two more years.
A source I just spoke to who is very close to Trent Williams tells me “Trent doesn’t have any plans of returning to the Redskins anytime soon.” https://t.co/EBnTh5NYll

Further, a source tells Hoffman that Williams intends to follow through on his holdout through the remainder of the regular season, with no plans to play for the Redskins again.
