The rumors have been swirling for weeks that Jay Gruden will be fired sooner than later. Today the Redskins lost their 5th game of the 2019 season, and are 1-12 in their last 13 games. Washington has been getting blown out every week, and there seems to be no end to the bleeding. Firing Jay Gruden now does nothing to stop the dysfunction that has plagued this franchise for the last 20 years.
Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen typically stay at FedEx Field for hours after each game. That did not happen today, and they quickly sped away from the scene of the crime. Something is different this week, and this could be the week that they swing the axe. Jay Gruden said he hasn’t heard anything about his job security, but he will know if his key works on Monday. He might not get the chance to swipe that key card...
Worth noting this is very unorthodox for them. They usually stay in owner’s box for a while.

Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen left the locker room immediately got in their cars and exited FedEx - the fastest I can ever remember them leaving after a game #Redskins pic.twitter.com/CXRscmtUGt

Just an FYI: Bruce and Dan leaving that early after a game doesn’t happen ever. The security entourage was fired up and ready to go as we got down to field level. They usually stay afterward for a few hours
