The Redskins made two more roster moves yesterday. WR Cam Sims has been signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. SIms was cut at the end of preseason and has been on the practice squad all year. He made the roster last season, but was placed on IR after the first game after he suffered a high-ankle sprain on his first play. Sims has been a preseason darling, and consistent Mason-Brennan Hype! candidate.
Sims is replacing Robert Davis who was released this week. It was thought that the Redskins would sign the Comeback Kid to the practice squad like they did earlier in the season, but they are reportedly moving on. Davis had his first and only NFL catch last week in a game he had a chance to break out in with Terry McLaurin out. That did not happen and now he is a free agent.
The Redskins are also bringing back Darvin Kidsy to the practice squad. Kidsy played a big role for Washington in the preseason, especially with McLaurin dealing with a tailbone injury. Kidsy was also on the Redskins roster late last year. The Redskins also signed OL Travis Vornkahl to the practice squad today.
#Redskins add @Silkysims17 to the active roster and sign Darvin Kidsy to the practice squad.
