Bill Callahan spoke to the media a day after the Redskins 9-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. — JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) October 21, 2019
Callahan to the podium. Mentioned the team has backed up its flight to Minnesota so the team can “get a little more activity” in during Wednesday’s practice instead of just a normal walkthrough the day prior to a game.
— Ryan Fowler (@FowlerRyan1) October 21, 2019
He says they’ll practice tomorrow without pads. It’ll be a pretty full length practice. They want to move. They don’t wanna overwork them, but they need to do more than walk thru before the Vikings.

— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 21, 2019
He says yesterday’s game is hard to take a lot out of. Agreed with it being called an outlier in terms of studying it/playcalling and all that.
Alex Smith:
Asked about Alex Smith, Callahan said the Redskins QB has provided the coaching staff with some insight during his rehab time. “I’ve never seen anything like the effort to his rehab that he’s pouring in.”

— Les Carpenter (@Lescarpenter) October 21, 2019
Montae Nicholson/Troy Apke:
Montae Nicholson in a walking boot on his right foot/ankle. #redskins Landon Collins talked about having to speed up the communication with Troy Apke this week if Montae can’t go.

Landon Collins talking now in Redskins locker room. Says there shouldn’t be much drop off if Montae Nicholson misses time but he will need to work on disguising coverage with Troy Apke
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) October 21, 2019
Derrius Guice:
Walking to open locker room, @BenStandig and I saw Derrius Guice (meniscus) going through running drills. Ran the whole field, did some dynamic exercises. Last week, Bill Callahan said it was possible he might return to practice this week, though that wasn’t definitive.
