Another starter is out for the Redskins today when they host the undefeated San Francisco 49ers. Josh Norman didn’t practice all week and was listed as questionable for today’s game with thigh and hand injuries. Craig Hoffman reports that he didn’t make enough progress with his thigh leading up to the game, and will be out this week. This will make Quinton Dunbar and Fabian Moreau the starters on the outside, with rookie Jimmy Moreland taking over the slot position.
The Redskins had already ruled out 5 players on Friday’s injury report. Vernon Davis remains in the concussion protocol and misses his third straight game. Jeremy Sprinkle will get the start again, and recently signed Hale Hentges will be the #2 TE with Jerome Cunningham going on IR this week.
Chris Thompson has turf toe and won’t play today. The Redskins signed rookie RB Craig Reynolds from the practice squad yesterday, and FB Michael Burton was added when Cunningham went to IR. Adrian Peterson and Wendell Smallwood will be featured today.
Rookie guard Wes Martin misses another game with a chest injury. Backups/special teamers LB Josh Harvery-Clemons(hamstring) and S Deshazor Everett(ankle) are also out.
