Case Keenum:
Callahan on Keenum - He left some plays out there but he made some big throws. Highlights the play action from end zone
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) October 14, 2019
Callahan says Keenum left a good amount on the field. Made some huge throws, but definitely some plays he wants back. “He’d be the first to tell you that. We’re all trying to get better.”

Quinton Dunbar:
Callahan: Quinton Dunbar was "tremendous" and relentless vs. screens against Dolphins. "He made plays not only in the pass game, but in the run game. Very impressive." #Redskins #HTTR

Referee Analytics:
Interesting note from Callahan on his use of analytics from different ref crews. Says he looks what refs call what penalties and tries to adjust week to week.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) October 14, 2019
Redskins limited penalties against Dolphins. This occurred after Callahan brought refs into practice last week. Said the team is aware of the penalties often called by the upcoming officials so they focused on those types of penalties with the refs at practice.

Deshazor Everett/Jeremy Reaves:
Deshazor Everett out a couple of weeks, per Callahan. The coach praised the work of replacement Jeremy Reaves particularly on special teams.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) October 14, 2019
Callahan says Everett will be out a few weeks.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 14, 2019
He was really impressed with how Jeremy Reaves played in the personal punt protector role. Played well in his few snaps on defense too.
Callahan to the podium. Praised S @JR1ERA for his performance Sunday saying Reaves did “an amazing job” in making all the calls on special teams.

Terry McLaurin:
"He's focused, he's high energy and he's tuned in." Callahan continued his high praise for Terry McLaurin after his 100 yards, two touchdown performance against the Dolphins. #Redskins #HTTR
— Zach Selby (@DarDarBinx61) October 14, 2019
Callahan says McLaurin being a two-time captain at Ohio State “speaks volume” about his mindset. He adds he’s not surprised about his success, even if it’s rare for rookies to have that production.

Landon Collins:
In explaining how practice carries over to the game, Callahan said that S Landon Collins had a pair of sacks during practice last week. He then recorded his first sack of the year against the Dolphins on Sunday. #Redskins

Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick:
Callahan says the Dolphins success late in the game was really a credit to Fitzpatrick. He got rid of the ball quick. Made some really high level chunk plays.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 14, 2019
He said it looked like Fitz was making stuff up on the fly. Just using his experience to make stuff happen.
