The Daily Twitter will be posted at the beginning of every day (at midnight in Washington, DC). The goal is to give readers a handy spot to check the Redskins beat writers & bloggers, and national sports journalists to keep up on the latest news about the Redskins, the NFL, and sports in general, along with a smattering of other things.

Some boos and a “BRUCE ALLEN SUCKS!” from some #Redskins fans when Allen and Snyder walk out onto the field.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 13, 2019
Alex Smith walks out to no fanfare a minute later and joins them on the sideline.
Source: Redskins won't start coaching search until after season.https://t.co/vdtVqrQ204
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 13, 2019
Essentially every coaching candidate Redskins might want has a job currently. What else is there to say about a search other than expect some general due diligence in advance.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) October 13, 2019
Redskins reportedly not starting coach search until after season? Duh - everybody's working and no one's taking over this mess and having a 2-9 record on their resume.

Redskins Expected To Make “Strong Push” To Acquire Steelers HC Mike Tomlin https://t.co/W7IYVAnntO pic.twitter.com/AXU53tI1sj
— NFLTradeRumors.co (@nfltrade_rumors) October 13, 2019
Snyder "would be willing to give Tomlin a top-of-the-market salary and full authority over the organization," per @JasonLaCanfora. https://t.co/UkhEPO445Y
— Jake Russell (@_JakeRussell) October 13, 2019
"I don't see Mike going to Washington," the source continued. "That is so far-fetched. It's so far out there. It would have to be a deal that the league never has seen before and would change the way business is done in football, and I don't see that happening."
— Jake Russell (@_JakeRussell) October 13, 2019
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://t.co/9ANe38pw0R
“Tomlin, a Virginia native, would have the opportunity in Washington to not just to put a coaching staff together, but also reshape the franchise however he sees fit in ways that just would not be feasible in Pittsburgh, where both the coach and GM report directly to the owner.” https://t.co/pWTJM0MWup
— JoeGlo (@JoeGlo1) October 13, 2019
#FireBruceAllen or reassignment is only way #Redskins trading for #MikeTomlin & giving him “full authority” has any teeth. Mike Shanahan also had “full authority.” And is Tomlin even right guy? Very few HCs achieve greatness w/ multiple teams. See Shanny, Jimmy J, Ditka, Seifert.
— Al Galdi (@AlGaldi) October 13, 2019
Nobody ever had "full authority" no matter what is said & what the contract reads. If u want a good working relationship w/ Dan & Bruce, you have to play nice & give into them sometimes. Otherwise, u may wind up like Marty did. #Redskins https://t.co/sGNNualGoq
— Chris Russell (@Russellmania621) October 13, 2019
Here's the obvious reason behind Snyder's interest: Tomlin "already has relationships with key members of the organization like team president Bruce Allen and general manager Doug Williams from their time in Tampa."
— Jake Russell (@_JakeRussell) October 13, 2019
Likely another sign that Allen's staying with the organization.
Yall know we just signed Hale Hentges a TE and permenant Team Captain from Alabama! One Of the best blockers In CFB and only dropped one pass in ota's and spring practice with the Colts. They had to ps him for inj 2 others. We stole him and placed on our 53!
— scott (@evilfromtn) October 13, 2019
With tight end Jordan Reed now done for the season, the Redskins have $33.5 million of cap space occupied by big-money players who haven't played a down for them this season. Quarterback Alex Smith (leg) takes up $20.4 million; tackle Trent Williams... https://t.co/3FUSf0EM6Z

Morgan Moses discusses the importance of keeping with the run, even when it wasn’t successful initially: pic.twitter.com/HvyLU5aZz3
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) October 13, 2019
Now, he plays a lot of 0 and 1 technique (40% of the time) where you’re not really used as a pass rusher. But, when he’s lined up as a 3-technique (43% of the time) he has a 4.2% pass-rush win percentage (93rd best) and a 58.4 pass-rush grade. That’s, simply put, not good.
— Nick Akridge (@PFF_NickAkridge) October 13, 2019
Allen has been better than Payne as a pass-rusher so far, but still not as good as you’d like to see. He has a 9.4% pass-rush win % on the season, but last week against the Patriots was by far his most productive week with a 14.3% win %.
— Nick Akridge (@PFF_NickAkridge) October 13, 2019
Great shot by Fox here. Keenum didn't like the look so called "kill, kill". Behind him, Adrian Peterson told him to keep the run called, so Keenum then calls "reload, reload" and Peterson gets the ball handed off #Redskins pic.twitter.com/S7gBjvOqku

I loved Terry McLaurin at Ohio State. But if you told me he'd be the best player on the field in an NFL game, in Week 6 of his rookie year, I'd have called you crazy.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) October 13, 2019
Good for him.
Case Keenum says Terry McLaurin is “friendly on the eyes” as a quarterback.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 13, 2019
The way he gets in and out of breaks, his body language and all that is massive to have a good relationship between QB and WR.
Right now, Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen are looking at this scoreboard and thinking to themselves: "See? We were right. We can win."
— Riggo's Rag (@RiggosRag) October 13, 2019
Final #Redskins 17 #Dolphins 16
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) October 13, 2019
Keenum 13/25 166 yds, 2 TD
McLaurin 4 rec, 100 yds, 2 TD
Peterson 23 car, 118 yds
Washington moves to 1-5. Miami is 0-5. That was a bad, bad football game.
Sometimes it comes down to who wants it least.

The Redskins are celebrating loudly in their locker room. I can hear their shouts through the walls of interview room
— Les Carpenter (@Lescarpenter) October 13, 2019
Great win! Something to really build off! Look, if #DwayneHaskins had started, #Redskins woulda done something like only win by 7 despite tanking #Dolphins being w/o their best player (Xavien Howard). Thankfully we rode that youngster Case who'll be leaving via FA this offseason!
— Al Galdi (@AlGaldi) October 13, 2019

Jets wearing their home whites today, forcing Dallas to wear their navy uniforms. Feels like the Cowboys are being "forced" to wear the navy uniform more often these days?
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) October 13, 2019
It was an ugly win everyone but it's time we as fans are honest with ourselves. This team does not win often enough for us to complain about any of them. I think you should enjoy the win for one day and resume the bitching tomorrow.#Redskins #HTTR
— Mark Phillips (@RedskinsReview) October 13, 2019
The #Bears are likely to place standout OL Kyle Long on Injured Reserve, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. The team’s O-line has struggled and they make a major move based on health.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 13, 2019
Sources: Multiple teams have called the Jets to inquire about the availability of DE Leonard Williams.https://t.co/IPMwsSyc6S
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 13, 2019
Trading for Leonard Williams at this point would cost a team about $9.2M in salary #Jets

Kyle Allen has been an utterly functional backup, who has gotten away with what appears to be a pretty aggressive fumbling problem because of CMC and the defense.
