Bill Callahan spoke to the media after the Redskins last practice before they travel to Miami to face the Dolphins in the Tua Bowl. Case Keenum will start this game, but he said it's a week-to-week league. Dwayne Haskins Jr. will be the backup, and he is the future of the team. Callahzn expects to have two of his offensive line starters back this week(Brandon Scherff and Chase Roullier).

Case Keenum:
Bill Callahan names Case Keenum the starting quarterback for Sunday and Haskins will back up
— Les Carpenter (@Lescarpenter) October 11, 2019
Callahan said Keenum is well-prepared and "has the makeup of a solid starter." Added his demeanor being the first one in and last one out of the building contributed to starting. #Redskins #HTTR

Callahan says Keenum earned that and is the captain of the team. Haskins being the backup comes down to him being one snap away and preparing as such. Want him to be ready and that role keeps him sharper throughout the week.

Callahan doesn’t necessarily commit to Keenum further to this week. He calls the NFL a week-to-week league

Dwayne Haskins Jr.:
Callahan: Dwayne is the future. having him as a backup will help bring his process along. #Redskins #HTTR

Kevin O'Connell Presser
Run game:
KOC on the run game - I think you can establish the run. Helps at the QB position and to stay ahead of the chains, get to play action.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) October 11, 2019
Execution:
Kevin O’Connell- I’m challenging our guys to have 11 people in the huddle and then 11 players execute the play.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) October 11, 2019
Steven Sims Jr.:
New play caller Kevin O’Connell says of WR Steven Sims that his skill set is legit but he’s “also very hungry to make plays.”

Moving the ball:
O’Connell - Hopefully the identity of our offense is moving the football and scoring points.
