With 4 Quarterbacks Going in the Top 10,’s Lance Zierlein Gives the Redskins an EDGE Rusher

NCAA Football: South Carolina at Florida Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

In his Mock Draft version 1.0,’s draft analyst Lance Zierlein has four quarterbacks going in the top 10, including the polarizing Kyler Murray, who is the first QB chosen at pick number four overall to the Raiders.

The Redskins are a team in dire need of a quarterback, but Zierlein does not have them receiving help in this area in the first round.

Below are his picks leading up to the Redskins selection at number 15.

Cardinals - Josh Allen EDGE Kentucky

49ers - Rashan Gary EDGE Michigan

Jets - Nick Bosa EDGE Ohio St.

Raiders - Kyler Murray QB Oklahoma

Buccaneers - Quinnen Williams DT Alabama

Giants - Daniel Jones QB Duke

Jaguars - Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio St.

Lions - Montez Sweat EDGE Miss St.

Bills - D.K. Metcalf WR Miss

Broncos - Drew Lock QB Missouri

Bengals - Jawaan Taylor OT Florida

Packers - Jeffery Simmons DT Miss St.

Dolphins - Greedy Williams CB LSU

Falcons - Jonah Williams OT Alabama

Redskins - Jachai Polite Edge Florida

School: Florida | Year: Junior

With the Redskins expecting Alex Smith to miss all of next season, they could opt to find a QB in free agency before bolstering their pass rush with this pick. Polite is slightly undersized, but he offers elite burst and above-average tools to help Washington attack the pocket.

Assuming the draft fell this way, grade this pick for the Redskins.
