Funny story. When AP was on his visit here I introduced myself to him and assumed he knew who I was based off how well I had played the previous season. As we were talking he said, “you play cornerback?” My heart dropped.

Redskins LB's coach Kirk Olivadotti was granted permission to interview for the same job with the Green Bay Packers, sources say. Could be the second Redskins assistant under contract to leave for another organization.

Kirk Olivadotti is in his second stint with the Redskins. He was with the team from 2000 to 2010, when he worked briefly with new Packers HC Matt LaFleur. He has been with the team for a second run since 2014.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) January 16, 2019
K.O. has stayed through multiple staffs. As there has been DC turnover, he's been there to tie things together.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) January 16, 2019
Having those translators is valuable. Then again, it looks like there won't be a DC change so not as necessary. Good coach though. https://t.co/rA556AJHK5
Finding replacements for all these coaches that want out won’t be easy for the #Redskins... https://t.co/ziXCZr7670
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) January 16, 2019
Zac Taylor . The soon to be HC for the Bengals wants Bill Callahan on his staff . Fun fact , Bill Callahan was his HC in college.@reshmanuel tweeted that nugget a while back . Expect the skins to block it but who knows when the time comes . Callahan is not happy here.

Per @JuMosq's work, the options out there are just unreal right now. pic.twitter.com/PZBP43x5ag
— Luke Braun (@LukeBraunNFL) January 15, 2019
I'm not sure moving on is bad in general, but replacing him amid all the chaos might be problematic.

#Redskins announcing Greg Manusky as defensive coordinator.... Again.
— Paul Conner (@P_ConnerJr) January 17, 2019
And Manusky's reaction to the news pic.twitter.com/GmuQ5lcTbc
Awkward.
— NBC Sports Redskins (@NBCSRedskins) January 17, 2019
That's one very good way to describe the fact that the #Redskins are keeping Greg Manusky: https://t.co/5C6fXfO9Sb pic.twitter.com/8uJhzdPSEo
I said perhaps that's why he originally wanted out, because he thought Manusky would be let go/blamed unfairly.
— Chris Russell (@Russellmania621) January 17, 2019
I don't know why he wanted out.
You don't know what people do or want, so before you get on your high horse and hammer me, just realize you don't know either. - https://t.co/9W9AaH2knp
— Burgundy Blog (@BurgundyBlog) January 16, 2019
Told this morning that they were just going thru interviews to see how they could better help GM. However: bottom line is they pursued 3 people hired as DCs elsewhere. Weren’t just talking to pick their brains. https://t.co/CL6X6Gleil
— John Keim (@john_keim) January 16, 2019
Whoever it was that spoke to @PostSports on behalf of the #Redskins and said that Jay Gruden and team was just looking for " “different perspectives” when talking to Gregg Williams, Steve Wilks and Todd Bowles - could not have possibly kept a straight face when saying that.
— Chris Russell (@Russellmania621) January 16, 2019
Can’t imagine what the last two weeks were like for Manusky. https://t.co/HgWNWqQYKI
— Mike Jones (@ByMikeJones) January 16, 2019
I know DJ Swearinger is relieved
— manny benton (@manny_benton) January 16, 2019
Skins have to sell this a certain way because it would look bad otherwise. Players need to believe In the message. Will they? Some will because they always did. Others? Dunno.

The #Redskins lack of appeal, among both outside coaching candidates and their own coaches, *should* be a wakeup call for the front office:https://t.co/v2r3mlJ6BV

An NFL owner gave a 34-min press conference Tues & spoke frankly about his disappointment over a 7-9 season & defensive struggles, voiced concern for his QB’s health & shared a vision for new facilities. It wasn't Dan Snyder. #CarolinaPanthers#DavidTepper#StraightShooter https://t.co/ptoEALbC6S

— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) January 16, 2019
Allen is one of the so very few bright spots that the #Redskins have to build around. Hopefully they don't poison his mind. https://t.co/c3oncH73Wu

#Giants put on a clinic on how to force high-end veteran talent out the door & replace it with free agent mediocrities & busts. Depressing but worthwhile read here on 2018's outgoing vets via @DDuggan21: https://t.co/5HBPjWg4na
— Evan Silva (@evansilva) January 16, 2019
Blows my mind this is even becoming a thing. Foles did some historic things and that's amazing, and there's also no doubt Wentz > Foles. I still can't figure out if some people are being disingenuous for sake of conversation or really believe otherwise.
— Frank Schwab (@YahooSchwab) January 16, 2019
Aaron Donald had an #NFL-record 20.5 sacks from his DT position this season for the #Rams. Interestingly, no opponent recovered from a Donald sack to score a touchdown on any of those possessions. None.

Alexander on 2019: "If you ask me today this will be my last year."
— Sal Capaccio (@SalSports) January 16, 2019
I'll believe Zo is only playing one more year basically never. He'll have to retire and then have like 3 full seasons go by before I actually believe he's done. Just an incredible athlete that continues to perform and get better. https://t.co/lFNjAsVxNj

The Detroit Lions have hired former Minnesota and Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell to be their new offensive coordinator.
— Tim Twentyman (@ttwentyman) January 16, 2019
Brandon Banks used to motion that he was "this close" to breaking a punt return after every attempt. One yard return or 15. Always "this close." The Cowboys are the team version of a return man who always thinks they almost scored. https://t.co/Yixt7fkrmA

In Year 1 of the NFL's new kickoff rules, only four onside kicks have been recovered by the kicking team. It remains to be seen how much that will matter to the league when the new rules, enacted for player-safety reasons, are evaluated.... https://t.co/tCcxNmWpib

Jalen Hurts to Oklahoma, as expected. Mike Locksley had Maryland in it, but ultimately Lincoln Riley had too much to sell (major recent team sucess, back to back Heisman QBs). It was close, but tough for Maryland to beat that. https://t.co/rSkybxsqHO
